Siblings of Pepe
Twenty years ago, our little brother went missing. There were so many questions and so few answers. During that time, we felt stuck and not sure how to honor Pepe. We hoped that he was with a family that loved him and that maybe, just maybe, he would show up on our doorstep or we would see him on a Maury show or maybe a Facebook post that he was looking for his family. In April 2016, we received answers that our Sonshine was never going to come home physically, but has been in heaven. As sad as it was for our hearts, we rejoice knowing that he was not suffering for the last 20 years.
As his siblings, we believe it is our duty to help prevent child abuse. We are still navigating where we would be able to help. Child abuse is a multi-faceted issue that creates generational problems. We hope to find where we can be the most beneficial in stopping child abuse, especially in our home state of Hawaii.
The value in purchasing a Tshirt will help keep the bravest and most courageous 6 year old boy memory alive. We pray the shirts create conversation and inspire everyone to treat other's the way you would want to be treated. We also pray that the shirts will encourage people to report signs of abuse to the proper authorities. At the end of the day, children are our future and we must protect them so that they can impact the world and do great things.
We thank you for your love and support. We would not be able to speak and stand courageously without the love and support of our Hawaii community and people across the United States. Let us walk in the same courage and strength Pepe lived. Let us live Pepe Strong.
